# 2026-09-01 Factory direct HistoMap expression review

## Work Done

Performed a fresh-context narrow review of the uncommitted Factory histo preprocessing change relative to `HEAD`. Verified that the expression converts the derived component `HistoScan` identifier to `histomap`, appends `/`, and appends only the last segment of the source map identifier. The canonical inputs produce `histomap/PE00002/rpe/001/preprocessed/component_0/epithelium`. Confirmed that the single comment accurately describes this placement. Reported no findings and did not edit the mono worktree.

## Lessons Learned: Pitfalls

The general histo SOPs do not describe this identifier expression and were not needed for the narrow review. Earlier reviews of related revisions included broader concerns that were explicitly outside this final review scope.

## Lessons Learned: Improvements

The exact canonical expected identifier in the task made this direct-expression review fast and unambiguous. Future narrow reviews should include an equivalent concrete input and expected output.
